Vessel "Lucky" departs Liepaja, Latvia en route to Conakry, Guinea

On May 2nd, the MV Lucky departed from the Port of Liepaja, Latvia and is currently sailing through the Baltic Sea, transporting a shipment of complex fertilizers destined for Conakry, Guinea. The fertilizers will be used in smallholder and commercial farming, supporting the cultivation of diverse crops such as rice, sorghum, and cotton.

The total cargo volume amounts to approximately 10,000 metric tons of NPK 15-15-15 fertilizers. The cargo handling operations were overseen by LSEZ Terrabalt SIA. Upon completion of loading, the vessel is scheduled to make a stop at the Port of Las Palmas, Spain, for maintenance before continuing to its final destination in Conakry, Guinea.

Mr. Gorsvans, a representative of NPK Expert Iberia SL, noted that the fertilizer’s balanced nutrient profile is especially effective in enhancing yields for staple crops such in the region.

The loading of the bulk cargo was completed in just three days—faster than initially anticipated — thanks to the efficient and professional work of NPK Expert Iberia SL and the port stevedores.
